インプラント埋入後、２次オペが必要な場合、患者さんに英語でどう説明すればいいのでしょうか。

Doctor:  “The dental implant is ready to be uncovered.  The cover screw or top part of the implant is still under the gums.  I will make you numb and open the gums so that we can prepare the dental implant for a new crown.”

ドクター：「今度は、インプラントのその上部の部分を開けます。カバースクリューと言って、インプラントの蓋のような上部の部分はまだ歯茎の下にあります。麻酔をまずして、歯茎を切開すれば、新しいインプラントのクラウンの製作の準備に入ります。」

まず、麻酔をする時は：

Doctor:  “This might be a bit uncomfortable, but relax as much as you can.  Take a deep breath.”

ドクター：「あまり気分のいいものではありませんが、力をに抜いて下さい。深呼吸して下さい。」

軟組織の切開時は：

Doctor:  “You shouldn’t feel any pain.  Is this okay?”

ドクター：「痛みはないはずですが、いかがですか。大丈夫ですか。」

英語では、途中で、患者さんが大丈夫かどうかをチェックを頻繁にした方がいいです。声をかけ、気にかけることはとても重要です。それはただ、シンプルに、ドクターかアシスタントの方が「大乗ですか。」と言えばいいのですが、何通りかをご紹介します：

Doctor or assistant :  “Are you okay?” or “Is everything okay?”

or

Doctor or assistant:  “How’s everything?”

or

Doctor or assistant:  “Hanging in there?”

Healing abutment ヒーリングアバットメントを入れた時の説明は：

Doctor:  “There is a round, dome-like part sticking out of your gums.  This is called a healing abutment.  This is to mold the gums for your future implant crown.”

ドクター：「丸い、ドーム型の部品が歯茎から突き出ています。これはヒーリングアバットメントと言います。これはインプラントのクラウンの周囲の歯茎の型を作るために入れておきます。」

Patient:  “How long will this be in my gums?”

患者さん：「これはどのくらい歯茎に入っていますか。」

Doctor:   “About 2 weeks.”

ドクター：「２週間くらいです。」

Patient:  “How do I clean this?”

患者さん：「これはどのようにブラッシングするのですか。」

Doctor:  “You want to wait about 1 week for the gums to heal.  Then with a soft toothbrush, you can brush on top of the surface of the healing abutment.  Please keep it clean.”

ドクター：「まずは、１週間くらい、歯茎が落ち着くまで、触らない方がいいです。１週間経ったら、やわらかい歯ブラシで、そのヒーリングアバットメントという部品の上をやさしく磨いて下さい。きれいにしておいて下さい。」
